We worked closely with our good friends at M&Y Media to produce a series of adverts aimed for both retail customers or car dealers.
It was shot them in a large photographic studio near Oxford over two days.
As with all advertising shoots, a lot of preparation and planning is necessary, from the initial consultation to assembling the team to developing the scripts, storyboard and shot list.
Attention to detail is needed on a shoot like this, it is key to a successful project. Apart from having the right equipment and team on board, the scripts and shot lists had to be carefully planned and timetabled. Not forgetting the time needed to clean and polish the cars and even the floor!
With several versions of each film, things became quite involved and to allow for a quick check of the sequences with the client, we had an on-set Editing setup.
Later, the final edit and grade were completed at M&Y Media’s office.
As the Director of Photography, I concentrated on the shots and careful lighting. This included a Green Screen piece to camera setups, shots through glass, Jib shots over a moving car, interior shots and even a dog! A hard, but very satisfying couple of days.
Below is the final version. The client was extremely happy!
